Liver recovery after alcoholic lesions
Have you ever wondered how it affects your liver? After all, the liver is the main organ that is responsible for cleansing the body of toxins, in particular alcohol. After a few glasses at the festive table, it can be "loaded" several times more than usual. And statistics show that alcoholic liver disease (ALD) is the second leading cause of liver damage after viral hepatitis.
But there is good news - nature has suggested a way to help us!
Auricularia auricula (Auricularia auricula) is a mushroom that has powerful properties that help restore the liver after alcohol damage. And not only that! Scientific studies have shown that melanin contained in this fungus has powerful antioxidant, antitumor, immunomodulatory and detoxification properties, which can reduce the negative effects of alcohol on the liver, restoring and maintaining its function.
In 2021, the journal Food Science and Human Wellness published the results of a study conducted in China. The research was conducted on human liver cells (L02) and on mice that were subjected to acute alcoholic liver damage and then treated with melanin from Auricularia auricularis (AAM). The results of the treatment, in both cases, showed a significant improvement:
Cell Experiment:
Human liver cells, in laboratory conditions, damaged by ethanol, had a viability of 52.72%. After the treatment of cells with melanin auriculary of the ear, cell viability reached 96.77%.
Moreover, AAM was not toxic to normal cells even at high doses.
Experiment on mice (7 days of treatment):
The level of liver damage has decreased: the level of triglycerides (TG) decreased by 21.29%, alanineaminotransferase (ALT) by 36.02%and aspartateaminotransferase (AST) by 9.77%.
The activity of antioxidant enzymes increased: CAT by 22.88%, SOD by 26.02%.
The level of infant dialdehyde (MDA), which is a marker of oxidative damage, has decreased by 16.67%.
Changes in liver tissue: the liver of the mice treated with AAM had almost normal structure without significant signs of inflammation and damage.
Studies have shown that AAM stimulates the activity of enzymes that help metabolize alcohol faster and reduce its toxicity, reduces the amount of free radicals in the liver, improving its ability to self-renew.
The use of auricularia has a powerful antioxidant effect, will improve liver function after alcohol and support the general state of health of the body.
Do not wait for serious liver damage!
